Biography
Anthony J. LaRocco serves as the Nassau County Sheriff, overseeing the Nassau County Correctional Center and managing civil enforcement operations. The Nassau County Sheriff's Office is responsible for courthouse security, prisoner transportation, serving civil papers, and operating the county jail. LaRocco was named acting sheriff in 2022 following the resignation of Sheriff James Dzurenda. The Undersheriff is Gennaro Prudente.
